Privacy Policy

SimTech USA, Inc. (“Company”) places a high priority on the personal information of its users. The Company values customers’ personal information and complies with relevant U.S. laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable federal and state privacy laws. Through this privacy policy, the Company informs you of the purpose and methods for which the personal information you provide is being used and the measures taken to protect personal information.

If the Company revises this privacy policy, it will notify you through website notices or individual notices. This policy is effective from October 20, 2008.

1. Personal Information Collection

The Company collects the following personal information for purposes such as membership registration, consultation, and service application:

  • Collected items: Name, date of birth, login ID, password, home phone number, home address, mobile phone number, email, occupation, company name, department, service use record, access log, payment record, nickname, interests, and field of use.
  • Collection methods: Website (membership registration, bulletin board, email), and delivery requests.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:

  • Service provision: Fulfilling contracts for service provision, fee settlement, purchase and payment, delivery of goods or billing.
  • Membership management: Verifying identity, personal identification, confirming intent to join, processing complaints related to membership services.
  • Marketing and advertising: Delivering advertising information, such as events.

The Company retains and uses personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Once these purposes have been achieved, the Company destroys the information without delay.

3. Procedures and Methods for Destroying Personal Information

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay after the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. The destruction procedures and methods are as follows:

  • Destruction procedure: Information entered for membership registration is transferred to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper documents) once the purpose is achieved. It is stored for a period of time according to internal policies and other related laws before being destroyed.
  • Destruction method: Personal information stored in electronic file formats is deleted using technical methods that render the records unrecoverable.

4. Provision of Personal Information

In principle, the Company does not provide users’ personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • When users have given prior consent.
  • When there is a request from an investigative agency in accordance with the law or following the legal process for investigation purposes.

5. Entrustment of Collected Personal Information

The Company does not entrust your information to external entities without your consent. If such a need arises in the future, the Company will notify customers about the entrusted party and the details of the entrusted work and will obtain prior consent if necessary.

6. Users’ and Legal Representatives’ Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users and their legal representatives can view or modify their own or their children’s personal information at any time and may also request membership cancellation. To view or modify personal information, users can access the ‘Change Personal Information’ (or ‘Edit Member Information’) section. To cancel membership, users can select ‘Cancel Membership’ and complete the identity verification process. Alternatively, users can contact the personal information manager via written request, phone, or email, and the Company will take action without delay.

If a user requests a correction of an error in their personal information, the information will not be used or provided until the correction is completed. If incorrect personal information has been provided to a third party, the Company will notify the third party of the correction without delay.

SimTech USA, Inc. processes personal information that has been canceled or deleted at the user’s request according to the “Retention and Use Period of Personal Information Collected by SimTech USA, Inc.” and ensures it is not viewed or used for any other purpose.

7. Matters Related to Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

The Company does not use devices, such as cookies, to automatically collect personal information when using Internet services.
